10. REFUND POLICY
Please double check you have entered the correct amount at the time of making payment.
If a donor contacts Thinking Positive and requests a refund of a donation intended for one of our beneficiary organisations, we will endeavour to assist. Refunds are made at the discretion of management.
If the funds have not been remitted to the organisation (and it is more than 2 business days prior to the monthly remittance proceeding), the donated funds can be refunded by Thinking Positive to the donor if the donor has a valid reason for requesting the refund. Valid reasons include:
accidentally entering the wrong amount
a system error occurring during the processing of payment.
The only exception is a donation made by direct debit – this cannot be refunded as it does not leave a sufficient audit trail. The donor must approach the organisation to request a refund. Any such requests will be subject to that organisation’s terms and conditions or refund policy.
If Thinking Positive agrees to refund a donation, the donor must provide a signed undertaking to destroy any DGR receipt previously issued by us.
If the funds have been remitted to the organisation, the donor must contact the organisation directly to request the refund. Any such requests will be subject to that organisation’s terms and conditions or refund policy.
